    Empire Trracer Disassembly

Been a little bit since I’ve had something interesting to take apart. But recently ended up with a pair Empire Trracers. So let’s get down to business.

Bit of an interesting air setup, running the back bottle to and ASA.

The braided hose has a bunch of sharp wires
pointing out, so it definitely has to go. Be kind find to run a tank Hawaiian style for a nice balance. But that’s for another time.

So far, nothing too crazy, but now we get to the fun part, the body. First we’ll see the ball detent, which is a standard Empire Sniper style rubber finger. The front of the trigger frame holds the detent in place.

The top of the marker has a plastic sight rail
being held in place by three small Allen bolts:

Now you likely notice one of the best parts of the Trracer, the first strike breach. That’s right, this littlle guy can very easily be used to hand feed zoomdots!

The marker also looks quite sharp without the bulky top rail and so hard fun setting up a couple different setups:

Overall these are pretty simple markers and offer some great flexibility and customizability. These are also cocker threaded, so you can use your favourite barrels.

Add a bolt lock for cool bolt action play and one more style 😁

These really are a great value. I wish I were smart enough to come up with a few for zoomdots that maintains the tight profile.

If only these were easier to find. This and the JT ER2S. They obviously invested a ton in manufacturing the things and then made nowhere near enough of them.

Part of the problem with finding them is that for what they sell for used, and the small space that they take up for storage there is no point in selling one. Move valuable as a loaner or backup.

No joke. I took me two years to get two JTER2Ss. Total cost for both was like $52.
