FS Scout not loading last ball

Since there are probably a lot of people getting their new First Strike Scouts about now, I figured this might be a good topic to open. This is my second Scout and I figured maybe a new one would load better than the last used one I had but alas, it still doesn't want to load the last first strike round from the mag and sometimes has trouble at other random times as well.

Anyone have any experience getting these to load better? The spring in the mag already seems pretty stiff so I don't think that is the problem.

I never owned one, but played with one when they first came out. So this experience is from then ...
the one I used had issue like that and took us a while to figure out the plastic nipple at the front of the FSR was causing issue.

The only mag I put through that gun that didn't have any issue I sanded every FSR smooth on the front.

Dye Dam had the same issue with the nipples on the FS round. It would cause flips on the Dam tho. I ended up modifying the mags at the point the nose of the FS came in contact with the mag and it worked perfectly, instead of sanding all my FS rounds. Just sanded and polished each mag a bit and it was G2G. Maybe try that. Sand a few FS see if it’s actually the issue then see if you can clearance the mag opening a lil so it don’t drag.

Insert joke about nipple feeding issues here. But seriously, check those nipples. Lots of different platforms have trouble with them

So I have been shooting this with the rubber reusable first strikes that have no nipple on the front and have been having the issue. I seem to remember filing the nipple off first strikes on my last scout and had similar luck.

I have found that if I cycle it back very fast, sometimes they load. I am wondering if the carrier inside the mag just doesn't push the last one up far enough like the planet eclipse extended carriers. I am thinking of 3d printing a modified carrier and seeing if that helps.

If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.
