    Nobbie's XL Freak barreled PGMI

Started this one with a newer style pgp lower tube with enlarged port.
Made a xl freak sleeved barrel at just over 10"s and carved it out for pmi style bolt..
Cut another piece of one inch for what will be the side feed..

a lot to do still but wanted you to see how it's going together..

Completed the hot work on body...

              Update on this build...
was sick ( stomach craps and chills) for the past few days but feel better now.

i spent half the day in the shop and got some more work completed on nobbies build.
drilled out the body for a side feed and drilled out the feed tube the same.
soldered on a brass end cap to the back side of the feed tube.
hot work completed on feed to body
Drilled , tapped, soldered threaded nut and added brass detent.
Made a true 10+ overall barrel and made a front site, soldered it on..
had to use a metal pump handle as the plastic ones were to sloppy
did a lil radius on the ends...not done yet.
had a rhought of embedding a couple of earth magnets to the base of the grip frame so I'm trying it out now...( hoping it will hold a single cartridge).

still need to make a rear site, install the guts, make a set of grips, a walz logo and a barrel retaining setup..
              think that's about it...

its looking pretty good so far.. still got more hot to do so things may change...

pictures as as she looks now...

Made a rear site for her today.. used a piece of 1/2" X 1/2" inch bar stock and cut to fit...
                  also made a walz logo..
Soldered both on marker and now all it needs is the barrel retention setup and the hot work will be complete..

Still need to make some grips, install the guts and clean everything up real nice...

With that barrel it makes me think of The Joker circa 1989 Batman. LOVELY

Making of a set of ambidextrous grips.....
still need a few more coats of boiled linseed oil to finish off..

buffed out the grip grip frame and made a one hole co2 holder..
( inset a pair of earth magnets to bottom of grip frame and cut a piece of lower tube for the retainer. Drilled tube out for magnets to show rhrough and screwed tube to bottom of frame...
The magnets hold cartridge very well..

Also buffed out the pump handle..

getting close to to the end now...
