Won an ugly shocker!

Whatsup dudes! I won my first raffle EVER and im over 40 years old. I got a shocker ERA, which i love, its super comfy, ergonomics are great. ONE issue is its some limited edition version, its soooo ugly (to me), I can't tell what kind of finish this is or if theres any way to color over this without reanodizing (thinking paint pen). I posted this question up on reddit and was greeted with a mountain of hate. I am considering sending it to ARC to have it anodized but im open to DIY stuff. what do you guys think?

I dont think its ugly....it is a little wrapper paperish or lumberjacky. Other than that.. awesome luck, great gun.

Going to be much easier than having it reanodized.

Also.... I'm not going to buy this, but for the first time I want a modern shocker. If this was the mech frame version I would have a hard time not getting this.

Selling it and then buying something more your style will be easier and cheaper than getting new anodizing.

It is definitely ugly, but there is a butt for every seat.

congrats on the win! But I agree: it’s ugly. It’s some kind of designer wanna be trash pattern like how HK copies Burberry and Louis Vuitton and other designers. It’s a trend that started in the 2010’s and needs to die

Yup, i think the plaid is supposed to be Burberry. A bunch of companies were doing Gucci, LV, Bape designs on their products like these: they did guns too:

IDK man this just seems like plaid to me. Yes I can see the others. The knock off designs on the paintball clothes actually seem less gawdy than the original pieces to me.
