    Memorable play

Could be a single elimination or multiple or really anything cool.

i still love this one shot i made with my old remote line tipx. On Town of bedlam for open play, get inside the building with the staircase and am pinned up against the netting from a player outside the building standing against the outside wall shooting through a window.
Finally at one point his teammate calls for him and he turns to look and i quickly pop out and fire, it was perfect, as i came out and fired he was starting to look back at me and it hit dead center of his lenses right as he was looking at me again.

Another good bedlam one was me and guy facing off and only the net seperated us (believe i was using my luxe 2.0 oled at the time) This guy ran his ass off and was far ahead of the rest of his team and it was me and him alone in the building. Well unfortunately for him he had a doorway behind him and his team starting shooting him cause they thought he was an enemy. He of course turns his back yelling over and over "STOP SHOOTING SAME TEAM"! Waving his arm and jumping around to get their attention better. I watch this happen for about 15-20 seconds and eventually poke around (very casually) and pop him in the leg. Completely cool about it.

A month or so ago I was playing some airball. Haven't played airball in ~13 years or so. 8v8, mix of renters, weekenders, my buddy & I were the vets (we split to even out teams). Buddy goes to my mirror on snake side, gets shot out. I said screw it, I'm going snake. I NEVER play snake (or airball, lol). I'm bumping up the knuckles & no one is shooting at me... And no one is in front of me! I proceed to shoot out about 4 of the others before I wrap around the back can & my teammates wrap it up. Not bad for my first day of airball in a dozen years.

I was lucky enough to have my play of the year on camera.

3v1 in a 3 man tournament earlier this year. For reference I am at 50 snake on the tape. My team got shot and I ran for it.

    1. shoot guy cross field running to snake.
    2. shoot back left corner out.
    3. Gunfight with guy at about their 25, still left side. He loses track of me and I move to shoot him in the back for flag hang.

got a lucky bounce and I’m not sure if the audio will work, but the little guy announcing was convinced I was shooting uncapped semi, but it was capped at 10.

Thanks man, I didn’t even know they were doing a video, but I guess they streamed the whole day and I just went to the perfect spot. Can’t ask for better than that.

My first time back playing after a 10 year hiatus, I played rec with a pump I built. 3v3 against some local teams b squad. I ran through and 1 balled all 3 of them. Game over in about 30 seconds.

Had a similar game(a team effort) at a tournament. One of the last ones before I quit playing. I took the center 40 and my team mate took the left half of the center 50 off the break. The other team hit the center 50 too. Our back guys got 2 off the break. I bumped to the other side of the 50. My team mate and I took a 3 count and came over the top. Bunkered the 50 guy. I shot out the back center and the other 2 fell within 10 seconds. 36 seconds start to finish. We were on cloud 9 and the talk of the tournament. Ended up placing 4th but I didn't matter.

No better feeling than straight shitting on a team in a competition. XD

    I have two.

The first was the first or second time I played paintball after moving to Utah. At this point, I had been playing for 3 years and was, at best, just ok. This was at a sort of organized outlaw field, which was one 5-man hyperball field on a corner of a farmer's land. I was playing with my Tippmann 98 with a $10 homemade pump conversion. Near the end of the day, someone said why don't we do a game where it's the 3 tourney guys vs the 15 or so walk ons. Us walk-ons agreed. I decided to go snake off break, and somehow made it. I heard guys getting shot off the break behind me as I ran in. So I'm in the snake, they send a player each back corner and the back center. I didn't shoot much, since I was playing pump and was far enough away that I'd never get a hit. So I'm jsut kinda waiting the game out, slowly push up the snake 50. At this point, we were down to 3 players on my team, and we had shot out one of their guys. One of the tourney guys, who completely forgot I was in snake, pushed up to dorito 50, more or less even with me. I shoot him out, then run down and bunker the last guy. I shot less than 10 rounds the whole game.

The second was last year at NXL Vegas, I have this one on video here. I was playing the 3 Man Novice division, since our mech team had too many bodies. We won our first 2 games pretty decisively, then got steamrolled for most of the rest of the prelims. On game 7 of 8, we decided to rotate our positions, so I went snake side. I go to the snake insert, battle a little with their snake corner, and move into the snake. The snake on that layout was pretty much worthless (though pretty safe) until you get into to 50, so I get to the 50. I look down the tape and see the snake corner's pod pack hanging out as he shoots inside. I quickly shoot him, then wrap inside, shoot the guy in the dorito tower and then the 30 brick, all in about 5 seconds. I then run down and hit the buzzer to finish the game. We ended up barely sneaking into the finals and pulled a win out of our asses. It'll be very hard to ever top that day.

Actually had one of those days today. Went out on the field with a mid 90's cocker and the stars were aligned just right. We had a good mix of experienced players and renters and something just clicked today. I played for the first 4 hours without getting hit and my team won by elimination every game. Of course around 2pm, I got hit for the first time and it threw off my momentum. I switched to the minimag and had another fun few hours though.

The interesting this is, I was usually leading the winning push for my team and because I was not dressed in current paintball clothes or shooting the newest thing, noone even noticed and instead keep giving the guys with the fancy looking gear all the attention, which is fine by me.

It was a fine day though with a great group. I think I got hit a total of 3 time over the day of play.

It was also the first day I can remember where I didnt play pump at all. Guess I was taking it easy on them.

Those days are nice. Had a few perfect days where i never got shot. but usually it was because i i was pinned in a bunker and nobody tries advancing. Just dodging lanes of paint for 5-10 minutes.

Yeah, I just discussed the day with my brother who is also an early 90s player and we came to the conclusion that these perfect or nearly perfect days only happen about every 10 years or more. Assuming you are playing up to your level.

My favourite was playing a game of assassination. The guy had a nice Black Magic cocker but he was a total ass. He took all the electro guys as his teammates leaving a bunch of renter and me with my pumped cocker. Right away they light us up due to a poor starting location, but me and another kid made it to a tree near their base. Me and the kid split sides and he was eliminated allowing me to move to where I could see the assassination target. I let go a quick 2-3 shots catching him right behind the ear just behind the mask before he even saw me.

Years ago i was playing in a kind of sort of scenario game. My team was armbands. Well a little while into the game i turn to see a guy coming up behind me & another guy. Bear in mind that i saw him coming a country mile away & could have easily shot him. I didn’t though because he had one of our armbands wrapped around his hand with a good 6-8 inches hanging down so that it was very noticeable. As I’m about to turn bs j around to focus on the opposing players in front of us, the guy opens fire on both of us. I start yelling that we’re on his team at which point he laughs & says he’s NOT on our team. Well, as he walks by, i look down & see NO paint. Only a piece of shell clinging to the Velcro on the front of my pod pack. The rule was $.25 size paint splat = elimination. It took me about 3/4 of a second to realize that i was clean & that he was walking away from me, oblivious to this fact. Of course i proceeded to shoot him in the back. He turns around mad & starts yelling that i was out. We argue back & forth a minute before he walks off, still very much in play. I considered lighting him up again but chose to let it go even though he had been a huge dick about it. I waited on a ref to come by who called me clean & i went off in search of the guy. Fortunately i never ran across him again.

Super Game 37 I think... I was behind a large tree and repelled a bunch of waves at Yeager beach... I lost count of my shots but Id wager it was around 100+ dudes.

My absolute most memorable game was at a little indoor field we used to have. The beauty of it was how small the field was, probably only half size (40' by 75' maybe?) so you could really cover some field so some really cool plays got pulled off.

Anyway, it's down to myself and two other somewhat experienced players battling it out on the snake side closest to the staging area. They're shooting the normal Ion or whatever at the time (about 2011 maybe) and I have my CCM Series 5. The game is starting to get stale and I think I had another newbie player on my team on the other tape distracting the two in the snake so I took an opportune time to run and go for a bunker move on the two of them. Luckily dude #1 doesn't hear me so I get a clean shot on his back but the guy in the snake corner hears that shot right as I'm charging and tries to shoot me while I'm charging his bunker.

Somehow as I'm in a dead run and he tries to peek I was able to put a shot close to him to put him back in his bunker but as I'm closing the last 5 feet he comes out the side and knowing I didn't have time to raise and shoot again I just full tilt ran shoulder first into the bunker the guy was behind which (and god bless airball bunkers) was a little overinflated and like a beach ball bounced back from my body and into the guy behind it knocking him back a few feet and onto his back with a surprised look on his face. Taking the advantage I then planted one right on his goggles and the staging area people all who had been watching burst into laughter.

Yeah it was a little unsportsmanlike but the field velocity limit was only 250 and the player was a friend so we had a laugh about it, I helped him up and we fist bumped. I really miss that field.

The last pirate game at EMR gave me one of the better streaks I’ve had in recent memory. Starting on the right side of the town, I swept up the field moving fluidly from building to building weaving around to each one without stopping for more than a few seconds to reload. By the time I made it to the other side of the town, I had completely wiped out every opposing player (earning a few beads from a very impressed ref) then proceeded to lock down that end of the field until I ran out of paint. Good times.

years ago when I had my ccm right feed t2, I shot this huge guy, obviously a back player lol, I watched that ball soar across the field (40ish yards) and hit him in the gut and just watched it bounce off lol

Shot a player from about 100 feet away who was also big and had his shorts falling down and his shirt was not helping to cover it. Watched my ball fly and it Nailed him right above the crack of his ass on his bare backflab. Bounced but he put up his hands anyway. Also on bedlam (lots of good cpx memories)

that reminds me of the time someone was playing with a ghillie suit on, the dude got hit atleast 10 times and at the end of the game everyone on the opposite team was coming up to him fuming not calling the hits, he just stood up and and shook his suit and we all watched tons of unbroken paint just roll out of his suit lol, dude was pretty much a big net lol

Yeah If made right they just catch the balls. Hence why that almost all fields that allow then make you walk on a bounce.

I was playing once in a shirt with a chest pocket and was being shot at while laying prone. The players ball bounced of the dirt and landed unbroken in my shirt pocket. After the game I was a nice guy so I walked over and gave it back. If the guy in the ghillie suit just returned the paint to its owners they may not have been so upset.

Why stop when you run out of paint, I played a game years ago with a pump in the days when electro speeds were uncapped and I was the only guy on my team to cover the right side of the field. The other team coincidentally only had one guy go left so it was him vs me. He had the latest fastest shooting electro whatever and I had a pump with an ammo box and promptly ran out of paint. He was dumb enough not to realize this and I just shot air at him whenever he popped up. I managed to hold the side for my team.

The funny thing was, after game he was loudly boasting that he managed to hold the whole side by himself. This was until I let him know that the only thing he held off was a pump with no paint.
