I'm not sure I understand the point of a metal feedneck on a hopper. It seems like the joint where it bolts to the shell will be much more failure prone than a solid molded nylon shell/feedneck like on any other hopper.
I actually kinda dig the look. It's like a beak almost? Between the price and my luck with rechargeable batteries I'm definitely not going to pick one up though.
I forget it's name but back in the day, that hopper that had a built in Chrono I don't think was this expensive

GI Sportz Pulse RDR. It wasn’t around for very long, butt it was $250. Pretty similar if you factor inflation. The spire v is also $250.
Besides looking ugly, I see several dumb ideas in this. The metal feedneck, as mikeds80 mentioned, is just building in a fail point. And when’s the last time you broke a hopper feedneck? It almost never happens anymore, so they’re fixing a problem that doesn’t exist. Also, a few people tried putting screens on hoppers. There’s probably a reason they went away.
Maybe the thing is actually awesome, idk. But yeah doesn’t seem like it’s well thought-out. Seems feature-laden just for the sake of it.
I just watched a youtube video of the Pulse RDR. I had never heard of it. I am so going to keep an eye out for a cheap one to pop up on ebay. That is neat.
I was about to post that. Im pretty sure I still have mine kicking around somewhere. I got mine for like $80. Chrono works ok +/- 10 fps or so. But man.... you'd go through a set of batteries in like 6 hours.
I can see the appeal, but droid heads really were the first thing I thought of when looking at it.
Some nice feature there, and maybe some questionable ones. Time will tell but, I never really have been nor am I ever likely to be the target market for high end loaders.

It's a box with a spinny thing. The spinny thing spins around when the balls move or it hears a thing. Then some paint comes out fast enough for someone capped at 10.5 bps to forget it exists.
Then they tack on an extra $200+ because fuck you, that's why.
