    Doc's Gear Back In Stock!

Fresh out of the box from the anodizers, I have half a dozen goodies back in stock for some of you enthusiasts. These will be up in my store and on eBay later in the week (or as soon as I have the time, anyway) but for now, you ladies and gents get first pick!

(I apologize for having to raise some of the prices a little- anodizing costs more these days, materials cost more, utilities, groceries, tools, tattoo studio time to finish my "Rugrats meet Dexter's Laboratory" sleeve...)

A, is of course more of my Compact Gas-Thrus. I know a couple of you have been waiting on these, now's your chance! $29 each.

B, are milled aluminum VM-68 side plates, to replace your probably-cracked plastic stockers. Comes as a pair and includes mounting screws. $40 a pair.

C is a plain Spyder Freak back, takes 'Classic' 5" inserts and tips. $55 each.

Q- I went to a poor school- is a 12" XL "Bull" Freak barrel for a Bushmaster pump. These take 8" XL Freak inserts, and are threaded for the older "Classic" type tips. Comes with a longer tip to make the overall length 12", but you can also use any old-style tip- an AA tip gives it the old-school 16" All-American look. $85 each.

D is the exact same thing, but with a shorter tip to give a 10" overall length. $80 each.

And, I think I still have at least two tips that would make them 14" overall length. Swap either one to a 14", and make it $95 total.

E is a simple Montneel/SI plain Freak Back, mainly intended for those of you getting your old Z1s and Mega-Zs back on the field, now you you have fresh seals and O-rings. They fit Bushmaster pumps, too, of course, but with a standard Freak tip, they're short and the pump handle gets a little sloppy. The Bulls are a better choice there. $55 each.

And I have plenty of all of those- a couple of dozen or so in most cases. Should keep you all busy through the upcoming playing season.

Last is R, which is the first of my 'retained insert' Freak backs, in this case specifically intended for a WGP Ranger pump. As shown in my "Freaking the UnFreakable" thread, these have a step at the breech end, so the insert can't go sliding out the back.

I only have the one at the moment, though I have the blanks to make more. It takes 5" inserts and old-style tips, and with the "Bull" tip included, makes for about a 9-1/4" barrel. If we swap to the longer tip mentioned above, it becomes about an 11-1/4" barrel.

This one's basically a handmade prototype, call it $95 as shown, or $100 with the longer tip. Only the one right now, so first come, first served.

As always, you can PM me here, or email sales (at) docsmachine (dot) com for more info. Shipping depends on size and length, but I should be able to get any of these anywhere in the US for less than $10. More than happy to help you Canadians or Brits out, and will work to get the best price I can for ya. Contact me with the specifics and we can go from there.

          Ranger barrel claimed pending fundage.

Does that mean L stocks are on the horizon?
-I have both L and P-stocks on the table, just pending scheduling.

... Didn't I reply, already? Man, I need to stop smoking those little green frogs....
Yeah, I can shorten it, no problem. The end of the shaft will be bare, but the cut will be 'under' the tailpiece. Go ahead and send it in, letting me know how short you want it- or mark the 'cut point' with tape or something, and I'll take care of it.

Carter threads differ from marker to marker. To play it safe you gotta send it in for a custom back thread. This will be my second carter headed to Doc. He does incredible work!

As Loopy notes, Carters vary from gun to gun. If you know it can fit a standard 'Cocker barrel, that one would fit. (Except that particular one is already sold. ) If you're sure it can take standard 'Cocker, I can cut one and send it (or anno it first) but if it doesn't, you'll need to send the gun, or at least the body and barrel, in for fitting.

But yes, I still have something like a dozen of those left, and can fit them to nearly anything you want.
