WTB 5" Freak "Reball" (0.670) insert.

    Update: Found one.

I don't need it, yet (I did use a 0.677 at Fulda and again yesterday, so with this trend I'm sure I'll need it eventually), but I want it to complete my collection. It's the dark green insert marked "reball", and is supposed to be around a 0.670 bore (whatever it actually is, it's smaller than the 0.675).

Here are some pictures uploaded by durandal.

I've been using my 0.675 almost exclusively on my pumps for about a year now, and I'll still get the occasional rollout. 0.679 to massively overbore my open bolts. I feel your pain.

I have one and have had occasion to use it. Your foresight is justified. GLWB

I always thought the .675 was the recall insert... exactly why we need someone doing proper wedgits again.

We should start emailing GoG/SP/DLX/Beelzebub and bug them to make smaller inserts. Or at least make more .670. Even if they discontinued the regular 5in inserts, they've never been known to turn down money. And even if they released them only in XL, we could pair it with Sconi's tip

If anyone finds this thread and has a spare .670/Rebal insert, I'd also LOVE to have one and I'm willing to pay well for it

Before OpusX pointed me to one, i did find a few places in Europe that appear to have them in stock (no idea if any actually do).

            Norway:

            Romania:

William the Third I was about to let you and everyone know I spoke with a friend in France about my plight, and he bought the last .670 in stock from the final link you posted. The Freak barrel can now confidently go to anodizing with the Klingon autococker build

To anyone else who finds this thread later in search of a .670 Freak insert: Creeper Paintball makes brass inserts for Freaks. He can even add his own version of wedgits to them. He is also working on producing sub-.670 inserts for when we inevitably get paint that small. I don't know if he's on this site but he's active on Facebook.

May Velcor dump his blessings upon you in a similar fashion to how early 2000's electros dumped paint upon their foes. This is a very helpful tip.

I shoot a lot of reball through freak inserts and they shoot straighter with an over-bore. They will spin and hook if the insert is too tight. I typically use a .677 to .678 for best results. Shooting the "Reball" brand, other reusable balls can differ.
