Good padded pants for a smaller person

So for the past few years my wife's been using a pair of proto pants I got back in 2006 when I was 12 or so. Naturally they've started to show some serious wear and tear, now that she's playing more I want to snag her some newer pants.

My struggle has been finding ones with padding as half the new pants seem to be joggers, and I've heard mixed things about JTs pants wearing out fast, but they seem to offer the most padding. She's mostly looking for padding in the thigh area.

On top of that she's about 5'2 and 100 lbs, so I'm limited to companies with youth or xs (and maybe small) sizes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Being the same size finding pb specific pants that fit has been hard, they just don't think about us smaller players

Yesterday was a crazy busy day at the field, and I was feeling stressed. I said to someone who was kind-of helping me out that I was ready to Kurt Cobain myself. He just looked at me all confused. I asked him what year he was born, and he said "2000". I immediately felt like an old man.

Recently I found out a regular of ours has me in his phone as "Dad 2". Freaked me out, as he is young enough (early 20's) that it is entirely possible that I could be his father. I mean, when I think about the fact that it is entirely possible that I could have children I don't know about, and that it's also possible that those children could be adults, I feel a large range emotions that are all negative.

I swear by Duluth fire hose pants you could always get some football style slid shorts under them, but I have never felt the need. Any good heavy denim works great. That's all I run anymore.

I like the idea of padded slide shorts, she bruises crazy easy so anything to add padding helps out

Yeah, Amazon has padded compression shorts for softball / basketball and various other sports that you can get in the sizes you need. The denim deadens shots pretty well by itself and holds up well. I get 3-4 good seasons out of the Duluth or other tactical style jeans playing more then most. tac jeans and indoor turf cleats are my favorite non-paintball items.

Firm believer in Duluth Fire Hose pants (or cheap baggy canvas work pants) plus I have been wearing CRBM SC Pro Bottoms under them for padding that does not slide around. Knee pads stay where they are needed, not the cheapest but they work well and air dry quickly. I now can kneel when needed without it killing my old knees.

Dye. I've had my 06 forever, eventually replaced them with a pair of 09s and those are still in excellent shape today. I only recently moved to a pair of 15s not because they wore our but because I'm now a different size

I know they made them in youth and xs sizes

Dye soft goods are so hit or miss. One year they are indestructible the next trash in a few months.

I have a pair of Valken v-tac smalls 28-34 it says. But no chance they fit an actual 34.
What waist size in inches does she actually need? I'll get a measurement.

Nice padded pants like new, camo.
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

Does anyone make a size 27in waist pb pant, only thing iv ever seen is the valken youth pants but we all know PB clothes are never true to size

I'm stuck in an odd size between a teenager and a small man...but everyone wants to be my size but has no idea clothes are hard to find that fit...shoes are even worse lol

Get tough pants that fit you. I like Duluth Firehose pants but any baggy canvas pants you can get that fit will work then I pair them with CRBN SC Pro bottoms. They have all the padding needed (especially for knees) and they have a few sizes and they stretch a lot. The main thing is the padding stays where you need it all day.
