    Seeking Sheridan Wisdom

So I am a noob when it comes to Sheridans and brass in general but I am needing to rebuild my PG's 12 gram face seal.

    My questions to Y'all are

Does anyone have a Valve tool that I can buy from them or know of one on the market?
What lube do you guys use to keep the marker up to par?
What kind of grease do you use on the pump? This PG has been modded with a pump. The pump handle has a spring and ball bearing (which are both new since I lost the old ones taking it apart)
Any other tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Palmers pursuit shop sells valve tools and most everything else.

Just air tool oil from the hardware store. No need for anything fancy.

No lube around pump handle. Maybe a drop or two of oil on the bolt. Hammer should be oiled lightly and cleaned after every use.

Make sure bolt returns all the way forward or you will lose velocity. Ive used a rubber band before as a "return spring".

    Have fun.

I personally put a tiny bit of grease on my bolt o rings. Its totally unecessary. I do think thats the largest drag point so grease seeems to provide more friction protection for longer.

Other than that, a drop of oil on the face of a 12ie every once in a while is all I do on the SC sheridans ive owned. . Id usually load that one stood up, then just use the 12 gram rod to guide it up into the tube.
May wanna swab the barrel after that oiled shot.

As for a valve tool. I have one, but I am a firm believer in not selling a tool, so Id pay to ship it to ya, but Id expect you to return it after your rebuild on your dime. Lets reserve that for a last resort.

Id say email, or pm palmers facebook, and they can likely make one if nothing else. I am sure someone has one for sale so.ewhere otherwise.

You can also make your own valve tool super easy with basic hand tools.
