A build for me.. hehe... who am I kidding

Decided to make a new marker as my buddy just gave me a piece of red oak.
Had to laminate it together as it was only 7/8" thick.
i like the shape of the Winchester so I styled the stock after that...
Found a piece of 3/8" thick aluminum and milled a couple of slots and drilled a hole through the side.
Used a large loop lever and decided to toss a wrench in the works so I used a 5/32 combination wench that I tapped for a 10/32 at top side..
Tossed a coat of red oak stain on her and I like the color pattern on her.
Used the last piranha short barrel marker for the 15 lb box, had to add a bit to lighten it up to kp length..
foind this .685 barrel sitting all lonly like so I taped it to the lower tube and stuck on a blunderbuss type tip I made from a candle holder base.just to see how it looks..
Thinking about Giving her a side tube and adding some detents to the barrel..
Things may change though as a freak able barrel would be cool or maybe just go whole hog and use a .680 i.d. titanium barrel
This is just a practice piece as I have materials coming in for a new type of base
This is just a rough up.
    What do you all think....

Can you detail the lever a bit? I may attempt another one, but I'd like to keep the next one skinny like everyone else does.

Also which lever did you buy? They aren't cheap pre made which is why I made an aluminum one.

Love the blunderbuss too. I have a shot glass I want to use for one. Im just still scared to heat things up.

looking at the triangular shape of the loop I'd say Henry repeating arms large loop, I use them a lot (though I chop, heat, bend, and weld a connecting arm on them)

These builds are just so over my head with what goes into them. I just know I absolutely love the finished products on all of them!

I'm anxious to see what you do for yourself ("because I want to"). I'm interested to see what grade of finish this Walchester will end up.

Thats awesome. Love the wrench. It reminds me of the 4mm wrench I keep on my keychain.

My vote is TI for the barrel baby! I can't compliment you enough on my shooter. The ti barrel is a bit tight on some balls, and they kind of " snap in", but it still just shoots em out straight.

But if you are seriously going to keep this, make it yours.

Beautiful stock! How do you do your channeling or in-lay for the valve tube?

                    Best,

Like where you're going with this one, could you show a close up of your mounting base and lever action. Thanks
