    Broken eNMEy drivetrain

First, I have no idea what the individual drive train parts are called.
Anyway, the Swiss cheese black aluminum piece apparently shredded at some point. Which is odd as gun worked great back in August then got demoted to backup and not used. I was doing a break down and clean up of several markers today before storing for a while and was broken apart.
looking at the part it seems that the front of it has a seal, but the rest is really just a spacer that then screws to back plug. With that being the case I left the front broken half in place, but removed the rear. Then filled the space between the two with 1/2” copper cut to appropriate length. Inside diameter is larger enough to let t

    continued as got cutoff.

Diameter of pipe is large enough to allow bolt to move freely through it. Gun cycles fine, but guessing fps drop as copper takes up more room in air chamber so may have to refine the fix.

That's a clever workaround. I had the firing can on a Shocker Sport snap like that one me, but I was a lazy ass and just got a new one.

Me too. Especially since I used it the full day packed it away and took it home never having had an issue that day when it had to have broken during the day. Guess it did not completely collapse so was able to keep working.

Happens on the field batch of Vibes I helped service on occasion. They would usually keep running awhile and just be snapped when we pulled them apart.

I went further by cutting windows on each side of the copper just leaving basically 2 support pillars. Also, broke a way the jagged edges off the broken section I kept in place for one o-ring and threading. Somewhat looks like a legit modification now instead of 15 minute thrown together fix.

What does the final result look like with the new mods you did to the pipe?

Could use some filing of edges, but could not find proper tools for job in time I had.

I hope you didn't take out too much. Copper is pretty soft. Did you test it out yet?

Few shots. The copper is thicker then original aluminum and feels plenty strong still. Time will tell though.

It is 68 cal. The drive train changed at some point. The original that piece that broke had holes that were just three circles in a line [O O O] as opposed to the more swiss cheese look of varying size holes and locations. Assume you have the three in a line? That old bolt design is said be far less efficient, but I doubt that part ever smashes itself to pieces.
