Double Barrel Ion

Is there anything I should know before I hypothetically start one of these? Any non obvious issues that will arise? It seems like the most difficult task would be mounting the frame and bodies (nothing a little 3D printing couldn't solve).

Fitting all the hoses into the confines of the adapter and frame is a pain, and attempting to fire both barrels simultaneously is an exercise in frustration.


You'll need QEVs and dual tail oring bolts.

I get the QEVs, but are the dual tail oring necessary for electro?

Toestr - I had assumed you were going mech. If you plan to stay electro, you don't necessarily need DTO bolts, but that opens up another can of worms.

Also, is there a reason SP decided to paint over the anno'd parts on the ion?

Good solenoids can still be found. Some people are making new armature for them.

Anodizing is a good primer.
