I've been on a tear all week, churning out wigits for kids. Mainly just trying to burn up old filaments. But my niece asked for a labu-bu. And with my limited filaments I gave him red pupils and a red smile. It made her cry.

So I bought a roll of rainbow tpu and I've been having a riot with it today.

Currently trying a 5 walled TPU nova insert case In the stuff.. its gonna be bout 12 hours.

Well, so much for that venture.. layer shift after 13 hours. I don't think my belt skipped. Seems my x stepper has developed a weak spot because I made it cog out of position trying to pull my bed sheet.

IT happened after I got up, because I took one of these pictures about an hour ago.

I don't think Im willing to try again with this being such a slow and material intense print.

I've been working on a knife sharpener setup using my welding table for a few weeks now. Learned more stuff about my printers, sharpeners, and my scrap pile.

The little rack for the ruixin hones was a leftover from trying to organize pocket knives. I think I cleaned out four partial rolls of old PLA.

It's fairly modular, so I still make changes in shapes and filaments of the separate parts which has been interesting.

My printer can’t handle tpu or ninja flex so I found an extruder upgrade that should let me print my own detents & reg seats.

Is this set up to be a faux direct drive, or is this allowing you to use a Bowden set up with tpu?

My printer has always been direct drive. The OE plate (black) has a gap between the bottom of the feed plate and the hotend. Stiff filament is no problem but ninja flex would often go sideways and not slide into the hotend. The blue printed plate extends the filament guide to just above the hotend. Haven’t tried flexible filament yet but it’s feeding pla and petg just fine.

Something to toy with literally, rover wheels. They were "designed" just in the slicer, 0 top and bottom layers, gyroid fill, and fuzzy outside later. A cylinder with a negative cylinder in the middle. Printed in ninja flex. I need a buggy to put them on now. Click image for larger version

Printed up an Inception Pico hopper shell. Took a while to print I still need to clean up the supports and the battery tray is still in the oven. Print looks good just need to find a cheap Halo now. I kind of want to try Halo Too internals but they are LTR prices.

I ripped off a few articulating dragons for the kids. Then I attempted another tpu nova insert case. Great success.

Picked up a resin printer and designed/printed a single guard/trigger setup for this old Eclipse with a cut frame.

The 95° that's on it right now was novel but I tend to carry most of the marker on the knuckle of my middle finger when I'm not gripping it tight.

I took the opportunity to add a matching ASA knob and a safety hole for a custom autotrigger.

Also an optional internal air passage that will be very dependent on the type of VASA and reg used.
                  If it doesn't have the [F] i don't want it. - Europoor

Printed out a carry case for my freak inserts. I'm not crazy about the thread engagement but the rest of it is sweet. Exactly what I wanted.
