    Which reg for an ion?

I'm attempting a mech ion (SP1 actually) and the stock reg it came with is missing some spring clips and unusable at the moment. Can anyone recommend a decent replacement reg on the cheap side? I haven't bought a reg in probably 7-10 years.

I've used the stock Ion regs and they have been fine. I've also used a Dye Hyper 2 and that one is good. CP regs are still good and sometimes you can find them used for decent prices.

I was thinking of one with an Allen adjustable bottom, so that rules out stock ions, right?

Are high pressure regs ok to use?

Ions need around 200psi so as long as that's in the adjustment range your are good

I'm a big fan of cp regs but if you don't like how they look shocktech regs use CP internals so they are built identically with different styling

TBH, I don't care about looks, as long as they function. I was thinking of 3D printing a frame and stock, having the reg seated inside the stock, with just a hole for me to stick an Allen key in to adjust velocity. It could be a totally marked up reg and I'd be happy. I'll look on ebay to see if there's anything I can use.
