Got this Ion locally from the marketplace today for $30. Hasn’t been used in years but I put a new battery in it, aired it up and it shot.

Had bodies and different builds of this gun come and go over the years but this is the closest I've gotten to matching the one that was lent to my brother and I back when we first started playing by Pete Utschig / Mr. U (of Ground Zero and Ironmen).

Looking forward to restoring the rest and getting it out to the field. Thank you Cirtem for the hookup.

Not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet. Might keep it electro and go play airball on occasion or I might mech it.

Just FYI, these Epiphany bodies are magnesium, NOT aluminum. So be cautious of heat if you have to do any grinding, etc.

I always thought these were great looking bodies though.

Well boys, it finally happened. I’ve literally had dreams about finding high end gear in a goodwill, and while this isn’t the clear flex I had imagined, it will provide enough confirmation bias for the next year or so.

Minor leak still but I think I just need a new o-ring on the valve

Still really want a Carter or RTR slide frame to put on it, but no luck tracking one down yet.

Think it's gonna get some cerakote once I figure out what to do.

Does the pump arm cover the front threads on the inception? Might have a neat barrel front you could try.

The tip threads are basically RIGHT at the pump handle, the A1 tip works out perfectly on it.

I picked up a Woosh I thought would look cool on it but it throws the weight balance WAYYYYYY off.
