Bought a Primal for parts a couple years back. Aired it up and it went nuts. The bolt cycled so fast and hard that it smashed one of the detents to bits and cracked the other one pretty bad. Finally getting around to fixing it since I'm in the whole Tom Cole/Bad Company EM1 mode, I remembered ermiller27 made full replicas of the detent cover models on here. Snagged them and printed them in resin. PERFECT FIT!

Now to pull the ball bearings and springs and that's behind me!

Have you played with the resin covers yet? I printed some covers also and given the brittleness of resin prints, I'm not sure how they'll hold up to taking a hit.

If those don't hold up, I don't mind sharing the design I sent off to pcbway to have cnc'd in aluminum. They were around 40 each anno included and still require autococker detents(the CP style that use a hex key.) They definitely hold up though.

Oh man, I missed these comments!

boarder2k7 I have played with them. They hold up. Mainly it's because of the material I used. I'm not using that same old standard resin used for minis. I've been doing parts and bodies in ABS-Like and everything seems to hold up fine with taking hits.

        antifat That sounds VERY tempting!

We use the pandit dct cutters for cutting wire duct regularly. Pandit actually gives the company them for free with every x amount t of product we buy, but they have these soft ass blade stops that deteriorate fast.

Pandit used to sell these guides, but discontinued them. Now you have to replace the whole cutter.

This morning I modeled my first rendition of a blade stop up, and printed one off. It's not perfect, but I think it's going to work better than the oem one.

      Red TPU 100% infill.

I didn't print anything today, and haven't for quite a while. When I was walking in to work this morning a very bewildered woman was walking down the hallway carrying a giant set of 3D printed letters. I asked her what they were for and she said "One of my friends has a 3D printer and he just randomly printed me my initials for some reason? I guess so I don't forget my fucking name? I don't know what I'm supposed to do with these!" 😅

In other news, I just cancelled my Prusa Core One order and ordered a Qidi Plus 4. Time will tell if that was a good trade or not, but the Qidi is more capable and my wallet is happier so we will see!

i have the Q1 and its a beast (bought it before the plus4 came out). the heated chamber is a game changer.
Im probably going to switch over to the plus4 if the qidi box works.

Thumbscrew for my PM6 and some TPU anti rollout widgets for my 2k5 ProStock. TBH the thumbscrew is kind of moot without a lever, because otherwise you'd need to forcefully shove the hopper in after you tighten it for it to work well. But I suppose its better than not having any allen key on hand. In related news; Custom Products customer service is alive and well. The friction fit gas wall in my on/off for the 2k5 apparently came out on its own so they are sending me a new one no questions asked & free of charge.

They’ve done the same for me. I bought a marker with a 2k5 on/off and it was missing a few internals. They just asked for my address. Great service.

I'm currently working on reconstructing Xmag parts. The breech just finished printing, also included a PE feedneck mod, I just need to fine-tune the optics. I'm still figuring out how to do the CNC milling on the battery housing.

Speed feed and replacement power button for a rotor. I used Novamaker 95A for the SF, I think the original calls for 85A but this seems to work fine other than jiggling the pod a bit. The power button is a translucent PLA I got in a sample pack from Amolen. Quite pleased with how bright it shines!

I honestly think you need a filament dryer. And or you are under extruding with your printer.

What machine do you have if I may ask? Both of my ender 3 models have required custom E step settings to extrude accurately.

Im running a neptune 4 pro, and ran through all the calibrations. The 2 issues that happened were I was messing around my enclosure during printing and knocked the printed resulting in a missing layer, the other was that this was printed vertically and lost adhesion at the elbow.

Sexy Slim Pickens in the upper left there would make a good pump handle if you turned it upside down.
