This is a prototype 50 caliber muzzle break. Threaded 1"-14.Material 304 stainless, weight is 3lbs,3oz. It measures 4" long, 3.5" wide, and 2.175 thick.
We made 2 of these back in the late nineties for a local business who was and is still in business of making muzzle breaks. They are very effective in reducing recoil. We were shooting a 21lb single shot 50 caliber. That's pretty light for a fifty
Any way I ended up with one that was never payed for. These things were about $1500 ea when we made them back then.
I would like to get $300 for it. that's material and welding cost.
The little break we made also. That is a 7/8" diameter 2 5/8" long. It is shown for comparison and is not included.
This is what the inside front looks like.
“Do not yearn too much for a sword made by a famous smith. This is because even if you give a good man a sword worth ten thousand coppers, he will not be able to beat a hundred men each holding a spear worth a hundred coppers.” - Asakura Takakage Toshikage, 1462-1482
