Mine aren't. They are bolted on.
I think they are actually all a little different. Sort of just generally stock class guns made out of whatever is available. My frame on mine is a lot thinner than the other Carter guns I own, and have owned.
Pretty nice gun for the price, though not the same level of finish of the ducks and buzzards (hence the price difference I assume). Great feel on the trigger, and great Carter internals. I had a problem with the barrel on mine but Lauren said that they would change it out for me asap. Which is great. I threw a boomstick on it and it shoots great.
