You can go to an auto parts store like Pep Boys or Kragen and look for "Plastic Adhesion Promoter". They usually come in a spray can. It's used to help paint stick to plastic parts on cars, such as bumpers. Back when I was into model trains, people would spray this first, then paint their model trains. Usually if plastic bends, the paint would chip. But with Plastic Adhesion Promoter, if the plastic bends, the paint doesn't chip. Perfect for masks.
