the valves up for sale are the ones pictured at the begining of the thread. (225ish sweetspot) these use the stock valve pin.

ill be making up a valve pin today, and ordering some cupseal material this week.

SpalttttttT~~ i think in the long run the square wire will stay "true" longer. but i dont think that in a paintballers life he would notice it.

I was thinking that the added benefit of using square gauged springs might have more to do with a more consistent reaction.
I'm also on the way to the PO to ship you those Nelson parts you asked for... This are for you to do with as you see fit. So have fun with them, and good luck too.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.

maybe we can get titus to make/have them made.
Vizzer13's gun, which used to be Elemental's, had an AKA Lightning bolt- I think pre-99 cocker bolts fit, no mods needed.

Splattttttt and Redneck, if you're concerned about the springs holding their form, look into shot-peening them to redistribute the stresses. Also, if you use an undersized die, then on release from the die they will springback to their final size- any other deformation is permanent, whether round or square wire.
Squaring and grinding the ends helps the spring survive more cycles before breaking, though. A round-wire spring should last longer than a square-wire spring, too. I literally have two textbooks with around 100 pages devoted just to springs between them.

this is what i use in my 12 gram fed illusion. it helps to minimize Co2 expansion. using this with a high flow valve and regulated 12ies i was getting 45+ shots at 280. (and because it is regged there is little curve, ie last shot being 270ish)

the problem with bolts is the diameter, illusiions are .700 where normal cockers are .689.

splattt- you had mentioned that you were going to lighten your hammer to attain better efficiency. in my testing with the two different weight hammers, the heavier is going to work better for you as it gets you the higher velocity without adjustment.

usually lighter hammers help for hammer bounce (like nelsons) which i dont think is the case here.

though if you try it, please post the results.

side note- threw in the new spring and lowered the psi a small amount. i think im going to go with a further weaker spring. and with the new valve design i hope to improve flow greatly. ill be ordering some of the material for that this week.
