I've removed all shims, put in the longest spring. It shoots now but even with the the smallest carrier and two different o rings it always has a small leak coming out of the breach.

Did you break in the o-ring with 1000+ shots?
Are you using oil?

For the bolt not resetting after hitting your squeegee you need to move up in carrier size not down. If your at 1.5 (1 line & 1 dot) move to 2.0 (2 lines no dot). Just an FYI the carrier shims only move the time when the L10 will vent ie no shims = soonest vent for the anti chop......

If your maker leaks when aired up = your L10 carrier is to loose....

I am using oil. When I try and break it in it starts to leak profusely after about 100 shots. I think the o ring is already broken in. any o ring with the 1.5 carrier feels to loose, how snug should the fit be? I'll try and use an o ring that fits well with the 1.5 carrier and see if it still won't reset. So start off with no shims and then if it will reset and works perfectly add 2 shims?

Just follow my instructions. They are correct.

Use oil.
Break in o-ring with 1000 shots.
Move broken-in o-ring to largest carrier that doesn't leak.
If bolt fails to reset after encountering a jam, add a shim.

It's not a matter of fits well, but a matter of not leaking. If the 1.5 leaks, go down one size.

Over the life of the o-ring you start with a large carrier. As the oring wears out, it starts to leak. When it does, you switch to a smaller carrier. You keep repeating this until you are down to the smallest carrier. Once it leaks there, you get a new o-ring and start over.

The breaking in part is done because the size changes the most during the beginning.

Got the 1.5 carrier in there, it doesn't leak. Aired it up and shot a swab it always locks up and I have to reset the bolt manually (using the gold spring in there right now). Tried adding 1 shim, does the same thing, added another shim, still no dice. Do I use the stronger spring or do I need a larger carrier for it to re set after it hits something?

Ok tried with the stronger spring, 0, 1 and 2 shims in the powertube and still it won't reset. O ring is very loose fitted but doesn't let the bolt slide off so it's kinda snug. Occiasianlly have a small leak but that goes away after a shot or pushing in the bolt with a swab.

Just throwing this out there, since you seem to have the lvl10 carrier under control...
How tight/loose do you have the field strip screw?

I generally hand tighten it and then give it about a 1/4 turn w/ the allen key.
It may not even be a factor here but I've read about funny bolt behavior when this isn't set correctly.
