What did i buy, and why did i do it... ?

Hi all and greets from finland,
I recently bought an x-mag(?) in a non-working condition. And now i have to repair this to a working condition, but dont know where to start.. It has a emag-valve /w a level 10 and i only got the vert breech with it.Under the breech there is an eye, dont know if it works or not.. And never mind the plumber-style feed neck.. its allready at the trashcan.
That i do know that, it leaks like hell from everywhere and i have to replace every single seal in it.These are not a problem as the kits are available from multiple sources..
problematic parts are on the board. The board assumingly works as it fires right up, when i pull the pin saying: " agd 2.2 -> low battery" and then it shuts down. The board is missing one of the push button switches and i dont know where to start looking..? And obviously the battery is shot, but i think ill find the needed parts at some local electronic store.
And this is quite embarrassing as i own 4 mags, but here goes.. I really cant get the valve off the body.. is there somekind of trick or what...
it wiggles and stuff but i cant get it out.
Help a mag noob!!
And sorry if some words are not right... i can also write it in finnish for you

Here are the pics.

The on/off pin could be catching the body. Try pulling the trigger all the way in as you pull out the valve. You can also take the trigger frame off first so you can see the bottom area of the body tube. I don't know about emags but all others have a groove in the body that a pin in the valve slides into. Taking the frame off should expose this and allow you to see what needs to be done to remove the valve.

Good luck!

Thanks for the answer. Allthough that wasnt the problem.
I started messing with the marker, pulling the trigger and all. Then i just happened to flick the switch over the trigger and at mid position, the valve dropped on to my toes...
Problem no.1 solved.

Nice looking gun, I like the color.

My first question is what is the thing on the bottom of the trigger, can you get a closer picture of it.

As for the battery, it is most likely dead. You can't go to a local store and buy one, unless the store will custom make one. You can however buy an AGD battery from Tuna at Tunamart. You can also buy your parts kit and the missing button from him.

You can also a replacement battey from KC on Automags.org, Emag replacement battery. This was the route that I went with. It is 1000mAh as apposed to the AGD which is 680mAh.

I would also say that your on/off pin is catching when you are trying to remove the valve. It happens on some mags. I had one that you had to take the grip off every time you wanted to remove the valve.

It's a euro x-mag. Some people like them over the cnc x-mags. Very nice, regardless. I don't think the 'trigger-stop' at the bottom of the trigger is stock, it is also probably what was keeping you from just pulling the trigger to push the on/off pin out of the way and getting the valve out. Sounds like you got it figured out anyway.

There was a very nice egyptian motif euro done a few years ago. The plain sides look good solid or detailed.

What you have is a euro xmag.

Try charging the battery first to see if it works. As for the display, it's normal for it go out on the first pull. If it's not coming back on (pushing the back buttons will turn the display back on) then your trigger magnet that activates the hall sensor might be too close. In small increments, adj the magnet away from the sensor till it's comes back on normally.

If the display doesn't go out immediately and flickers or just slowly dims/disappears then you have a bad ground. Open up the grip and you'll see a single screw holding the board down. Remove the screw and run a 4-40 tap down in the hole to expose some bare metal which will guarantee a good contact. You can also get a scribe or any sharp object and run it down the hole to scar up the sides of the threads which will again expose fresh metal.

First thing first would be making sure the battery has a full charge and replace every oring in the valve. That will alleviate a lot of issues. There are tests to make sure your battery is up to par after it's been charged.

You'll want to make sure it's working in mechanical mode before you mess around with the electrical side.

The valve not coming out: Next time just flip the switch to Mech mode, make sure the sear lock is not engaged, and pull the trigger.

Might be best, since you already have experience with Mags, to take the valve and put it into one of your other working Mags to get it all tuned and sealed. That way you can troubleshoot it away from the Euro-Xmag body. Once it's going good, replace it into the Xmag and start working from there.

Yeah, i have to try to load the battery, but i dont have high hopes for it as Its been on the shelf for 8 or so years.
The thingy behind the trigger is a return spring system. Made from parts of ballpoint pen.
But yeah i think i have to ask tuna for the parts. It would be cool to have the parts from same source..
The euro mag is semi-rareish, eh? Cool to know that for once i did a good deal...
