Where to get a mag tuned up?

So I've got an automag that I would like to get tuned up as it's been sitting for a few years in less than ideal conditions. I don't have ready access to air so it makes tuning my x-valve difficult.

I tried tunamart and AGD but neither will reply to phone calls or emails.

thanks for your time

Was it working when you left it sitting? Define less than ideal conditions. Without air its difficult to play paintball, let alone fine tune your mag. I'd say solve that problem first. Once you get some air into the gun you can see what your up against and people here or on AO should be able to help.

Head over to bigevilonline.com

Talk to Bigevil (he's here on MCB too), he's picking up Tuna's slack at the moment. Not sure if Tunas temporarly passed the tourch over just yet but it usually takes him a few days to get back with people.

I have no idea, I've never actually gotten to air it up. Less than ideal conditions would be sitting in a box with the rest of my paintball stuff for 3 years. Dust and seals are my main concern. I'm trying to finish all my paintball gun projects before I get started big boy projects

I travel to go paintballing, at least an hour or so. .

Unless that box was outside, or in a very damp basement I don't think you have much to worry about as far as conditions. I just aired mine up after 10 plus years stored in a case in a damp basement...sealed right up and performed like a champ with only a couple drops of oil in the right places. My other guns and gear didn't fair as well being stored in the same location but not in the case contributed to a lot more corrosion - but not much to corrode in a Mag.
Unless it has a problem, or wasn't tuned correctly prior to storage ( and I guess by tuned about the only thing I can think of in a non E mag would be lvl X) it'll either leak or it won't - nothing to adjust. I would agree- get some gas and see what she does. If you're that worried, pick up a parts kit and swap rings - less then 10 minute process to do the whole gun. I found a good price at ans FWIW.

^this.

Air it up and see. Last time my main didn't work, my field owner lent me his wifies purple mag stored in a dresser in their field's 'office' (old small 'mobile home' trailer) for best we could figure was three years. Just a couple drops of oil and it played like a beast all day long. The next gun i get will be a mag.

What does a "tuneup" consist of and what would one cost?
