just bought a mag from my field owner. was working perfectly when i got it. as soon as i got it home i just did the basic stripping to see what the bolt & power tube looked like. when i put it back together it started to leak. as soon as i air it up it starts to vent down the barrel. if i hold the trigger the leak stops. the o ring on the power tube tip looks fine as does the one under the spacer. what else could be causing this type of leak?

Oil or a new power tube spacer I think

alright. it's oiled pretty well i think. would i need a shorter, longer or just a new spacer of the same size?

I take it this is a level 7?

did you check the oring ON the brass tip or down inside the power tube? someone recently was swapping/checking the one on the brass tip and didnt realize there was one down the power tube.

He said both the o-ring on the powertube tip and the one under the spacer looked good. Because he said spacer, and not carrier, I'm guessing it's a Level 7 bolt.

That being the case, I'd go ahead and replace the o-ring under the spacer and see if that doesn't solve the problem. It may look good, but there may be something wrong you can't see. Or if it's old, it could have gotten too hard, and lost its sealing capability.

its a lvl 7 correct? if the leak isnt fixed with the orings i would buy a spacer kit worth having around in case.

It is a lvl 7. Field owner said he had parts so hopefully he'll have those o rings. Thanks.
