I literaly Heard one before I ever heard of one
I never heard of one until from behind me one day in 1995 or so, I hear this odd thumping noise behind me. As I and most of the people I played with were still using pumps, with only a few semis (mostly Tippmanns with some Storms etc..) this was a completely different noise from what I was used to altogether. I look back, and there behind me, is a 400 pound guy dressed in camos using an automag on a remote setup, with a very short (and quite distinctively loud) crownpoint barrel. He layed down a whole hoppers worth of paint, (which then was more paint than I would use all day) in a single thumping barrage, then jumped next to me behind a bunker, and yells, "Cover we while I reload" less than 10 inches from my mask. I failed to do so, though, as I was too busy ogling the previously unknown gun, which had just captured my wholehearted attention. Well as enamored as an 11 year old kid can be, I had the opportunity to fire the marvel later in the day, and never looked back.
