Thanks Robertsr!

Some of you may have seen the parts box 'Mag that Roberstr assembled and put up for sale two months ago or so. Transaction went great, and the 'Mag arrived quickly.

I started getting a few items I needed to turn this nice base marker into my dream Classic Automag. I swapped out some parts, added the odd piece, and it still might get a gloss black direct mount on/off (and run the line entirely on the driver side). Without further adieu, here it is:

Please don't mind the less than optimal light.

I love the way those grip styx frames look. I'll have to pick one up sometime.

As mentioned by the above poster, it is a Grip Styx/Stix frame. It feels great! It does give the 'Mag a softer trigger than stock though. I don't mind it, it makes the trigger feel like a squeeze as opposed to a break.

That is just one of those XSV feednecks 'apexcivic' is selling in the Dealer's BST for $10 a pop. I have one on this gun and one on my Phantom. Great little piece, and a great price. I cut the original neck as well (I hope that is not a mortal sin or something), it was a mid-rise SS centerfeed.

Wow. Wicked-sharp mag. Very similar to the ones I used to drool over before I ever owned one. Like this one:

I don't think I'll ever be able to stop buying mag parts. It's addictive how many different ways you can set something up, and how beautiful they look when you get done.

Nice!
That's one thing (among many) about 'mags, they are pretty much indestructible both functionally and aesthetically.
A parts box Tippmann would probably work fine but look like hell with scratched/chipped/worn finish. A parts box 'mag works fine and looks goos. There's no finish to wear off on the stainless body and valve.

A little update, I used this yesterday in game, and I am now hooked on 'Mags. I have shot a lot of paint through them, just never in a game. I love the consistency you get.

I had a few chops during the day, but that was likely due the Winchester hopper I was using. At certain times it would jam up with paint. I think I might invest in a Level 10 to remove that possibility entirely. Was not as thirsty as I originally thought, I estimate I shot 150-200 balls on a 48/3000, starting at 2000 psi and going to around 900 psi. I guess that works out to be maybe 400 shots or so from a full 48/3000. I am pleased, I can pick up a 48/3000 for dirt cheap for recreational games and get a reasonable shot count.
