i would love a laser engraver..... we have like 6 computerized air scribes.... but no lasers, and nothin bigger than like 3" x 4"

Exactly. The LaOS board is designed to look like a printer to most systems, so all you do is print from nearly any application to create output.

I am currently speaking with them via email, long with trying to get some resolution from the seller on ebay.

It is kinda funny... I can not feel any raised/lowered area where the engraving is. I don't know if paint would make any change.

What seems to happen is the dye is burnt out of the anno, leaving a white/light gray in its place.

More experimentation tomorrow.

Any suggestions?

Plus, I have found that normal spray paint and Sharpie marker will *NOT* work a LMM on brass... I think I will be doing some research tomorrow, and probably ordering a "professional" LMM for the brass inserts.

Pevs logo on a beer glass

First attempt at the Pev's logo on a pod

Second Attempt.

Third and final attempt.

Pev's logo in foam. This one is very cool, because I got the power just right, and did NOT cut all the way through the foam.

Moving on to other materials and images...

Charm City Chokehold logo at 1" x 1". This is a bit too small for any real detail.

CCC logo at 2" x 2". This one is far more clear, though my photography would not necessarily show it.

And last...

Someone's line art of the Gears of War logo

Things we learned to day... Foam is really flammable, as are scotchbrite pads. Both stink terribly when burning and worse when extinguished.

Acrylic cuts and engraves very well, but smells terrible.

Cardboard is fun, but catches fire too easily, even when wetted down.

I can engrave in anodized surfaces. Pictures later, as I must clean mirrors from the little fire.

There was this broken down Spyder MR1 laying around, and I had the GoW logo loaded, so the marker met the machine...
