Threading a nelspot 007

I may purchase a nelspot 007 and intend on restoring it, can it be threaded? If so how much would the process cost, what threads can I get and who can do it? Thanks for your time.

YEs and no....

you would have to loose the feed tube. as the weld points are up front on the barrel for it.

Are you looking to cut off the sleeve and then tap the barrel for a certain thread size?

I had a Nelspot (not 007) and had it tapped for a screw in extension. At least there was more meat on the barrel to work with.

Threading as in barrel threads? It can be done without removing the feed tube, but then the threads cannot be cut on a lathe. If you don't want the feedtube removed, you will need to find someone with a CNC mill. I have cut cocker threads into a 007 body before, but this one had a feedneck welded on it instead of the original feedtube.

Unfortunatly i live in the netherlands, so imho you should visit a local machine shop to discuss the possibilities.

Ahh, I would like to just make it so that I can use any barrel with it that is AC threaded. Or any threads.
