| Splatmaster replica Looking to see if any of our airsmiths think they are up to the challenge of replicating the plastic outer shell of the Splatmaster with something made of aluminum or other metal.

| If the price is reasonable on this, and if do-able, I would like one also. Though I can see this being too extensive to be "cheap".

| You'll need a warp feed to keep up with the lever ![]() I was actually thinking about how one would go about a lever action splatmaster yesterday. The action would have to be reversed and it would be a little awkward. *EDIT* The more I think about it the more it starts to seem reasonable. If you rock the run back instead of the lever, it would go with the front loading feed tube. I need to think about something else, nobody sell me a splatmaster.

| Already been done... FS: Custom Splatmaster Upgrade Kits (velocity adjuster, etc) Well mostly. I guess you are looking for a new body as well. I managed to get my hands on one of these gems that Ken turned out. It is a wonderfull little shooter. Shives |

| There might be an "easy" route. 1- Make a mold of an actual splatmaster body. Use whatever method. Ie reverse-plaster, clay, wax, sand, whatever. Cheap and easy to do. 2- Get some easy to melt metal. Tin can be melting at home on the stove. Zinc and Brass is trickier, but can be melting with a torch. 3- Pour into cast. Let cool. Drill/sand/grind as needed. A metal splatmaster for -zero- dollars (assuming you can find the scrap laying around). Now, the body would be of poor quality, but you are not building parts for the International Space Station. There were some great Popular Science articles a few years ago detailing the process. The Splastmaster was already a plastic molded gun, so it lends itself very well to being converted to a metal body. EDIT: Maybe make a body out of post-1982 pennies? I used to melt those when I was young to make action figures?
