| Resident Marker Monger | Super Nova Blowback I'm sure this has probably been covered before but here goes. My Super Nova likes to chop balls and I attribute this to a lot of blow back. Can anyone tell me how to reduce the blow back, or if I used a force feed hopper like a halo or evo would that help? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

| Spread The Virus | A force feed hopper should help alot,however.....What kind of barrel is on it? If it's stock brass, take the shroud apart and check the solder points on the barrel. If the solder is broken it'll cause the barrel to slide out of position slightly and cause alot of chops.

| 1.21 gigawatts! | A force fed hopper should help. But first I would try adjusting the collar on the barrel to set the correct "timing" of the barrel which will reduce or eliminate blowback up the feed tube and stop chopping balls. As Choas said check the barrel collar to see if it has moved out of place. The position of the collar determines the speed of which the barrel moves forward opening the breech. If the collar is too tight the spring will force the barrel out and open the breech when there is still pressure in the barrel from the shot.Sounds like the collar is set a little too tight. For a good description on how to adjust this check the nova faq section on here then click on the barrel collar adjustment and that will give you a good walkthrough on how to set this.

| Unfortunately could be a few things, check the easy ones as others have suggested. I've even seen where a Nova isn't put together right and works but has blowback or other issues. One is the spool housing. If you install it upside down so the air ports don't line up the gun will cycle but the timing will be messed up and could have this issue. The Nova is mechanically timed according to Airstar (meaning there is no timing to set, the timing is set in the design by air flow, spring rates, etc and cannot be changed). Don't go buy a force feed hopper just to get past this issue, a properly tuned Nova shouldn't have any blowback (actually if tested with a little tissue it should suck it into the feed neck a little, not blow it out). | Resident Marker Monger | Thanks guys, it has a brand new custom barrel, but it did this with the old barrel as well. I'll try readjusting the collar and see if that helps.
