Project Mayhem

Among a few other things I have collected and really didn't need, is my recently purchased PGI Mayhem EC. Originally I had plans to mount an AGD Intelliframe on this rare piece and replace the board with something along the lines of an ICD BKO stock board.

It feels like a pretty simple project, but not a really cheap one. I'm kind of torn between just fixing her up, going thru with the mods or selling the beast! Sugestions?

Info on this Mayhem - I recently picked it up on eBay. When it arrived on my door it was a mess. I spent about 5 hours cleaning it up, replacing some of the seals and lubing it. Now it is clean as a whistle, and shoots great. I spent some time over lunch on Friday ordering new fasteners for the majority of the gun. The top screw, piston plate and rear cap will all have their screws replaced by new SS equivalents. This model is a V2, meaning it will accept Angel feednecks and Cocker barrels.

Here is the gun as it appeared on eBay...

I'll post "after" pictures once I get all those new fasteners, so you can see how well she's cleaned up...

Sounds cool. I've never seen anybody do anything with these except get rid of them.

Ha! I was watching that one on e-bay too. I forgot about it when I went to work, so I didn't bid on it. Let me know if your thinking of getting rid of it, don't have a Mayhem yet. As far as what to do with it, I was toying with the idea of getting another board, but leaving the single trigger, kind of a 'sleeper' if you will. But that's just me. Be sure to post up any pics, don't see many around any more.

PS Your Super Nova has got to be one of the sweetest looking Airstar's I've ever seen!

Well I posted it for sale. Has all new screws and cleaned up, but in light of things like rent, bank loans and an impending Castle Conquest this is just one more project I cannot afford or need. Guess I'll have to shoot one of my other 4 guns

By the way I got the supernova ET going. Had to steal parts off the nova with the bad anno.

I messed with mine enough to make it not chop. I added a rear detent to stop rollback and added eyes. Actually shoots pretty nice! I managed to get the last of the custom springs sniper1rfa had also. I definitely recommend the second detent or making the bolt not retract as far.

Does it do that thing where if you shoot faster than it can cycle, it keeps shooting after you stop until all the trigger pulls are counted?
