WAS Equalizer Pimp Board?

Hey folks,

Still working on my problem child Viking (03 with obviously retrofit eyes). I just put new eyes in to replace the crushed ones but I'm having some problems sorting its Equalizer board. It doesn't match up with the manual for a Viking or Excalibur but seems to match one for a Pimp; is that possible? Did people install Pimp boards into Vikings (and/or should I be worried)?

the was 2.0 software for aka boards uses the evil pimp manual, there was never an aka specific manual for the 2.0 software. also if it is the 2.0 software, the board can only be used in a viking now.

Ah hah, that makes sense. Thankfully it's in a Viking so that part works out .

Aaaaaand now it's not shooting. The trigger and board are in sync (the light goes off for each pull in the "eyes-off" mode) and it has air (very tough to move the bolt by hand) but the solenoid won't release. I guess the solenoid-to-board connector that a previous owner melted half of finally just gave up. This Viking was such a mistake...

Well, time to take it down again! Or just trade it for an Etha .

Do you know what molex connector it is?

The thread on PBN could probably tell you. Might be just a $2 fix.

Worst-case scenario is getting a new lead from AKA. I guess I won't be shooting it this weekend though, lol.

Yup, the culprit was the crushed connector for the solenoid-to-board wire. I noticed the "blade" that's soldered to the black wire was pushing out of the back of the connector and jiggled it a little, which let me cycle the marker. Jiggled a little more and the chewed up lead wire broke.

Time for another AKA order! I shouldn't be surprised as this Viking has been a total money pit (and still isn't up to the condition it was advertised as when I traded for it). Ah well, so it goes.

i have all the molex parts, i could make you up a new pigtail to soldier in, or if you send me the solenoid i could crimp new ends on and put a new housing on.
