"Dark" Viking?

So I'm picking up this Viking next weekend.
The seller is telling me its a "dark" Viking & that it refers to some upgrades to the internals.

Does anyone know what the "Dark" refers to or if its even real?

Anything 'Dark' usually comes out of warpedsportz in L.A. Typically it indicated a tuning and a mill job. That doesn't look like it's had a mill job.

I remember an old magazine ad that was listing dark angels in 2003, I think there were also excals and (I believe) vikings in the same ad. But to my recollection they were aka full mills with jurasic goo style anno.

I know this helps in no way, other than to tell you maybe call warpedsportz and ask them. They are still around, making dark egos and the like.

Incidentally, Infinity, the company that makes the Legend, is a division of Warpedsportz.

Dark vikings were sold by Yeppers (I believe) and were nothing more than normal vikings with a few upgrades like eyes and such. No internal differences, and no milling. Frankly, I'd just consider it a normal viking.

they were sold by yeppers, that is correct.
They had eyes, covers, pandora, usually, a jmj chrome thin blade, and I believe a clamping feedneck.

That would pretty much cover the bases on this one. I figure $350 is a fair price.

Any advice on this thing once she shows up? I'm not sure if I'll get a manual & I've never dealt with a "board" before.

$350 is a fair price. I would say just feed it plenty of paintballs and put 3 drops of pneumatic air tool oil in the ASA every case or so. I would also stick to duracells or Lithium Ion 9 volts.
