Bulk SS hose?

Does anyone know of a place that sells bulk length SS hose and the pieces/equipment needed to crimp the fittings on the ends?

How many hoses do you want to make? From what I heard you would need to do thousands of them to make it worth buying the crimper.

I was just hoping it might be cheaper in the long run, as I have lots of markers, and in the coming years i'll have lots more.
Somehow I don't think it's gonna be economicly feasable.

You can always use Swagelock fittings and hardline.

Hi,

It all about how much money you have. You are talking a few thousand in crimping machine components, dies, fittings and hose. The die to crimp is a few hundred IIRC. If you have access to let's say Parker Crimping equipment, then you should be able to buy a die for the line. Generally, I think it is a minimium of 50 to 100 foot roll of line from the distributor. Then some fittings are going to be the same. Probably a box quantity( can be anywhere from 5 to 25 pieces in a box), especially on the stuff we use 101__-2-3 fittings. Now the distributor may not have this is stock since it is really a specialty type item.

As for the Parker numbers, I had the book for the this type application for years. I am thinking it was 55 series hose and fittings for some reason. I could be very way off. Plus I believe Parker started to revamp the numbering system so the numbers could have changed. I would highly suggest to consult with the rep before placing an order.

Simple answer, see if you can make a bulk order of premade line with a paintball supplier. This is one reason why Macro is popular but for all the wrong reasons when it comes to safety.

There's often a hand crimper option for field terminations that is less money than a production crimper. It's still likely to be in the few hundred $ range though.

....and I thought out air powered crimper in work was slow. I knew the company had a hand powered crimper in one of the services trucks. However, I think it collected more dust than being used. One place i worked had a electrical pump. It would crimp using your pinkey on the handle and it was fast as anything I had ever seen.

I would personally find a carter guy here with a ton of different size hoses to buy from or get some from the local shop.
