The brass valve is. Aluminum tanks are. Steel tanks are if you have enough of them. Just make sure you take the valve out and sell those separate since the brass is worth more than the rest.

Does Lowes still have its co2 tank program?

Like Walmart, and other places that use the Blue Rhino system, Lowe's will exchange an old out-of-hydro co2 tank, for a new, filled tank.

But the difference with Lowes is that you give them the tank, and they give you a voucher to use towards the purchase of the new tank, but technically you can use it on anything you want, or even cash it out.

If they're the older valves that can have siphon and anti-siphon tubes installed, you can sell them on here. Someones always looking for those. Hell, even if it can't have a siphon or anti-siphon installed, you could sell them here. I've gotten a few tanks with bad pin valves that I couldn't return.

Unless you have a few dozen or more CO2 cylinders , It just ain't worth sending them out to be retested . Hence the reason why Alex is asking if they're worth anything as scrap

There used to be one paintball store near my hometown that did CO2 tank hydrotesting for something like $15, but I can't seem to find it now. I have a bunch of out of hydro 20 and 12 oz tanks and I saw their website about a year ago but never got my tanks test when I was home on leave.

13ci/3000 still need to undergo hydrotesting. Even Ninja states a 5 year rehydro. The 2x2 only applies to CO2 tanks only. Check the stickies, it covers this discussion except about what the OP is asking.

We don't have a trade in program over here. I've heard about the Blue Rhino trade in, but what are the requirements for them to allow a trade in our old tanks? Or it doesn't matter what the condition are old tanks are in?
