I've taking the barrel and breach off, but I'm wondering how you take the hammer and valve out. Do you have to unscrew it from the back or is there some other trick? Also, mine is blue, and it looks like it's been that from the factory. It also has some odd safety that's engaged by twisting the hammer a bit. I've never seen this on pictures before, what's up with this?

Their is a pin that must be pushed out from the side of the frame first that holds the valve (assuming you have removed the breech block, tube and connector rod 1st.) It's a little tricky.......I used a flat screwdriver to back off the valve. I have the smg 60 and the 68 special............they are both somewhat similar. Tough gun...........built like a tank.........fun to shoot.

Apart from a little rust and old, dried up paint, it's actually in pretty good condition. The airline seems to have always had some oil on it and still looks pretty good from what I can tell. I'm gonna do some testing on the field tomorrow. If I can get this damn syphon tube installed that is. There's this stupid nut in the valve that I just can't get out... The only thing I still find odd is that the gun is blue...

inside the valve are 2 "plungers" that look like nuts, and they should come out easily after you remove the snap rings. | |
