Help with Bob Long Defiant
I just picked up a new toy :-)
Original BL Defiant but have some ?'s
In the manual it recommends that the output pressure of your tank be regulated down to 350-500psi. Normal hpa tanks are output of 800ish if not mistaken, does this mean I need a secondary regulator?
What type of lube is recommended for the defiant?
can any one help me with disassembly? hoe do you get the valve out? mine is pretty stuck...
I will post more as they come.. thanks!
I would imagine that it would like a medium output PSI tank. Any high psi tank should work, most probably don't hit the 800 any way.
The manual should say what lube is good. I would stay away from dow33/55. It should probably be like slick honey or w/e the hell is selling these days.
You can always call BLAST, they generally have pretty good customer service.
There was some discussion awhile ago that one of bobs new guns got a ridiculous amount of efficiency increase with an ultra low output tank. This is totally unproven and pretty much BS.
Isn't the BL defiant like the old B2k.
In any case you would need a secondary regulator like most guns out there anyway, was your missing a regulator when you got it? As for lube, superlube would work too (those giant tube that they sell at radioshack).
Can you post a photo of it just for confirmation?
yes it is just like the b2k
it has a inline high pressure regulator but it recommends that the tank output be regulated as well from the sounds of it...
From your photo it doesn't look like you have an inline regulator or am I mistaken? That thing on top just look like a foregrip with the air going straight to the asa.
That looks like the standard Gas-Thru grip that was on stock B2k's and BKO's.... I could be wrong. Drag that over to ICDO for more info, I'm sure Vdub if he hasn't gotten on this yet already or FGB can give you some information on it.
Where the hell did you find a defiant in THAT condition?!
its a reg the bottom part screws off comes wit the orginal box and manual
