HPA tank vs storage tank

Ok, so my google fu is weak today and I cannot for the life of me get the conversion correctly.
I wanna know how a 92ci 4500 psi paintball tank measures up to a 2.5 cubit foot air storage tank at 125 psi.
basically im trying to figure out how many cubic feet the 92ci at 4500 would be at 125 psi

The PB tank beats the crap out of the other one in terms of available energy, if that's what you are wondering.

pv=nrt

p=pressure
v=volume
n=amount
r= gas constant for air or univerasl
t=temp in Kelvin

solve for n and you have your answer. I do not feel like doing out the units right now but you should be able to get a ratio of how many air tanks in the Pb tank

you can simplify so that it is pv1=pv2

so 92ci = .0532 cubic feet

.0532ft^3(4500PSI)=(volume2)(125PSI)

239.583=(volume2)(125PSI)

239.583/125 = 1.91666 cubic feet, so the 92ci at 4500PSI is only 1.91666cubic feet at 125 psi. (assuming constant temperature and same moles of gas)

Just got a concussion, so math could be off...

Thanks again!

I use one of these bad boys on my tank to fill air or run a nail gun or whatever.
Shop Kobalt Portable Compressed Co2 Regulator at Lowes.com
I called Kobalt because it is advertised as a CO2 regulator. Their engineers said there is no problem using an HPA bottle as long as the bottle reg output is below 1000 psi.

Oh wait, I goofed on my last statement. I'll work out the math below for inlb.

1ft^3=1728in^3

pb tank
92in^3*4500lb/(in^2)=414,000inlb

other tank
2.5ft^3=4320in^3
4320in^3*125lb/(in^2)=540,000inlb

I like the Kobalt, but if all you are using it for is to fill tires, I would look at this too: Tire Fill Stabilizer [PPSP009] - $109.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop, Where Custom Still Means Something

You could aways make your own. Just need a mini cocker vert asa, screwed directly into a random reg with a cheap normal asa or mini cocker va with a short 125 psi rated hose + fill valve.

I was researching this yesterday and we have all the parts we need in this little game. I was looking because I want to to s cleanup day at my renegade soon but haven't decided if a hammer would be the better choice to save time building one and buying a nail gun.
