I have shipped to the netherlands before. Just insure it and you should be good to go

A complete gun, insure it, fill out a little more paperwork & sit back.

Don't cheap out on the packing, even if they want it try and save a little on postage.

And don't over insure, the final value on the customs form can affect any customs charges for the receiver. I got one recently, cost me half of the price of the gun again because it was insured for about twice than it was worth.

Other than a few more minutes at the post office it shouldn't be a big deal.

international insurance coverage isn't really that great. Insure it for its amount, but don't go over as was previously stated.

Best bet. Is package it for the apocalypse. you will probably need one of the large customs forms, since the package will most likely be over 4lbs. The large forms have a degree of traceability if anything goes wrong. So even if your package is smaller than 4lbs for some reason, request the large customs form and not the little 1/3 page sized one. Use the big half/page one.

Ask the receiver what they wan´t the package to say.
I always ask to people mark as a toy. Toys have smaller customs fee than ie. air rifles. It doesn´t effect the seller in any way.

NEVER put the word Gun or Rifle in the customs form, european post services can return any packages they suspect contains firearms or firearm parts to the sender without notifying the reciever.

Just put "sporting equipment" in the description :)

it sounds funny, but paypal has a shipping department that will give you everything you need. At the post office you will need to pick up the clear sticky thing to put on the package, then put the three forms inside. (it will be open because they will take them out as it progressives and the reciever should onyl get one.). I always put 4 copies in just in case someone wants to be a smart ***.

But then, The last thing I shipped to france was a Phoenix Gold MS1000 amplifier, heavy and large SOB, package it like you would drop it down stairs.
