Please tell me this is a McMurray...

I found this auction the day it started, and YES I kept it to myself. I was bidding on it, but lost interest around $90. Then I started thinking that the long feed neck reminded me of a custom Sheridan gun. A little digging on Vintagerex and I settled on a McMurray something or another. *Edit: I think Mo-Jo due to barrel length.

Well, I won the auction. Is this a McMurray, or did I just get a Sheridan with a bunch of parts. By the way, the guy quoted me $32 shipping a couple days ago.

$32 shipping!? My gods! Has that guy heard of USPS flat rate boxes?!

The pump handle does look McMurray-esque to me, as does the method of side tapping it for constant air (looks like it was done almost the same as my McMurray KP2).

The long feedneck the rightside quick strip and the constant air tap all make it look like a McMurray. Most likely is.Nice find.

Ok, now I will sleep a little better tonight. Thanks.

So, what do you think the value of the gun is?

The gun alone should be around $225.00 if you ask me.

CB

I was watching the auction too actually

Didn't bid when I saw some names I knew coming up. That and I didn't need it. Great buy.

Honestly, "need" / "want".... What's the difference?

But getting back to the price? I've seen them start at around $200 +.

Doesn't McMurray stamp his name somewhere? Is that a cooper t inside too? ALL the ones I've seen had a cooper t bolt...

How dare thee outbid me!

I swear its impossible to be sneaky and steal much off ebay with all you guys around.

I should have bit more now, but I myself was unsure if it was exact a McMurray or not so I stopped short.

Guess a trip to vintagerex should have been in order.

Sorry

I didn't recognize any of the ebay names, so I didn't feel bad outbidding them. I should have realized that other MCBers would have had this under their radar as well.

You want to know the kicker? I DID e-mail this guy when it was selling for about $20 bucks or something and offered him money.

These are his exact words to me:

Quote:

Thanks for your offer but I thought it was worth a bit more than your offer. I am open to counter offers.
Best,
Al

And guess what? You just bought it for slightly less then my offer. LOL.... That's probably the REAL reason why I didn't bid. Just out of spite.

I'm glad someone here got it... One heck of a buy still
