Ego 11 issues in extreme cold weather.
Today we played some ball in extreme cold. I think with windchill it was below zero.
My two week old Ego was having some horrible first shot drop off where it would send the First round out about 10 feet and the following rounds out normally. After a while it would shoot 30 or so rounds and then drop off to barely nothing. After several minutes it would shoot again but not for very long.
On yeah, l had to turn the reg all the way up to hit 260 fps.
This is my first dark side marker so I'm not real experienced, but my teamates Ego 11 had far less issues.
Its worth mentioning that the previous week the ego shot fine.
Was it the cold, or the solenoid settings, or both?

what lube were you using?

I have the lube that came with the package, but hadn't lubed it. Figured it was still lubed from the factory.
I'll always tear a gun down and relube it when I get it, factory or not. No idea how long it has been sitting for.
Lube can thicken or get gummy over time. My guess would be the reg sticking? It should only take a few minutes to lube an ego, so try that first.

You shouldn't lube anything in the ego11 but the reg stack and LPR (lwhen you do actually need to break them down). Just use the oil on the rammer.

Batteries will also fail in cold, which can lead to similar problems.

I did oil it tonight. It had to be a combination of the cold, battery and oil. The display was sluggish to respond too, fading from option to option as screens do in the cold. I didn't realize how Eau the ego was to lube or I would have done it already a couple times.
I've had nothing but bad luck since I got it. Getting shot of the break, ambushed, bad paint... I think the Tippmann Gods are smitting me for breaking allegiance with them.

its the cold man. i played last year with my ego08 in -4 canadian weather (i didnt care, i just wanted to play with the ego) and i had the same issues. you could do things like turn the solenoid power up and play with the fsdo but its not meant to be

That's weird cause my ego shoots just fine at lower temps....Left it in my car overnight, pulled it out the next day and it shot just fine.

Aren't there optimal settings for cold weather? Was it sub zero cold?
