grenades

Had a situation this past weekend that a good paint grenade would have helped with considerably. Decided to do a litttle shopping this week and saw lots of options.

Which ones do you use and why do you like them?

The last ones I used were the Tippmann "Big Boy" grenades (they bought Atomic Ordnance, and the design works extremely well in terms of activating and, coverage).

However, Tippmann has re-designed it and, it remains to be seen how well the new 'pull-pin mechanism works.

Agreed, the Big Boys were awesome the way they were, I don't think I ever had one fail (I didn't use many, but I didn't use many Squadbusters either and I don't think any of them EVER worked).

Sadly, their redesign sounds an AWFUL lot like how a Squadbuster used to "work".... Hopefully they did something better but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I've heard good things about BT's grenades but have never used one myself.

For me, it seems I'll carry a grenade forever, get tired of the extra weight, leave it in my bag, and that'll be the one time I find a good opportunity to use one. That, plus the average cost has led me to pretty much give up on them with the exception of the one tactical tournament a year that my team plays in.

I would not want them for everyday play. I agree the weight would get old after awhile. The price on most is why I made this thread. I would rather see what has worked for everyone and what has failed before I buy some. Will definitely check out Blackrain's wares. I will always try to support our members first.
