shimming a crossfire stealth reg

anybody ever add shims to their stealth reg to bump up the psi to around 1100-1500 for automag r/t ??? was wondering if it is possible with this reg or if i should just save up for a new reg. please help !!!

I have shimmed regs before, You may not be able to get that much out of it though. The times I have done something like this I have only gotten 100-200 psi more. If you shim it too much you risk it not regulating at all and pushing full tank pressure out.

BTW this is not something you should be doing, especially if you are not experienced in working with high pressures. This may result in fatal failure of the regulator.

well one of the techs at my field said he could do it but i wasnt sure if it was possible with the stealth reg just getting a second opinion

Don't do it. The stealth reg is designed to work with the pressures that it comes to you using. If you try to bump it up, it may not be able to hold the pressure. Honestly, save your money and get a Ninja SHP reg. Or the other regs that I think are made by Ninja, but are used with air rifles and output at 1200 or whatever PSI. They are specifically designed to hold that pressure for an output pressure, and you won't have to worry about putting undue stress on the reg aluminum.

yeah thats what i figured i would do. was not sure when he said he could do it as i never heard of anyone doing it and it doesnt sound safe anyway lol
