I do think some sheridans look a bit nicer with changes to the feed tube length or barrel length. 1 is a PMI1 with a fasst changer (most is under the pump) and extended feed tube. With the pump handle shifted forward and the rounded grip frame it looks long as hell doesn't it?

Second is a PGP2 with a longer feed tube. 3 and 4 are PMI 1's with clipped barrels.

Thanks for all of those pics! Are the brass ball feed cover and brass speed changer on Mad's pics custom?

Yes to the custom plugs....off the top of my head I'm forgetting who did those and I'm on my phone..

As far as weight distribution the question for me is how you play with it. If you full extend your arm to fire, length and weight is a consideration. For me because I'm pumping I keep it close to my body so it's less of a problem.

Ok, so my two cents question: what about the P12 or P68?

I think I have the models right. What are the differences again.

I am planning on building a single barrel and double barrel semi. Kframed would be wicked, put out of my trice range at the moment

Basically every sheridan can be identified by its physical features. Look at a picture of a P12..that is what it is. It is a PMI1 direct feed with a longer barrel.

P68's came as AT (autotrigger) models, and SC stock class. The AT is a lot like a piranha Long barrel (back bottle, direct feed) but with the auto trigger assembly.

The SC is like a PMI1 stock class, but with a longer barrel (probably P12 length) and a longer feed tube. To me, they are too big and heavy. MAD's guns are configured in a more playable setup..PMI1's are overall the best starting point in my opinion.

The thing you need to think about is how much money it will cost for you to get the gun where you want it. Accessories add up quick and you might be happier just ordering a PUG from palmers with a .685 wedgited barrel. That is a sweet barrel size.

While I respect the work Palmers does, I'm looking to do the actual build myself. I can afford to buy one, but I have a few ideas to try out.

I learned to weld and solder 20 years ago ..... I can't have forgotten much since then lol
