barrels unannodized vs annodized

is there a difference internally on a barrel when it comes to annodizing.

would an internally raw well polished barrel work just as well as an annoed one?

I believe as long as they plug the barrel properly it shouldn't affect the inside of the barrel at all.

Yes, at least in theory and as long as it's kept clean and polished. Without anodizing, you've got raw aluminum semi-exposed to the elements. Put it away a little damp or with paint goo and it could get some nasty corrosion or oxidizing before too long. When I got my first gun (a Tippmann Pro-Lite ~1995), I polished the hell out of the stock barrel and it shot just as well as the $90 aftermarket barrel I bought with it. I just cleaned and dried it well after each day of play and gave it a once-over with some metal polish (Flitz, I think?) about every 3-4 months.

We used to flexhone barrels out back in "the day". Anodizing will give you a harder surface and be more corrosion resistant.
If you take 2 barrels finished to the same id and level of finish you shouldn't see any functional difference between them.
I used to polish my barrels religiously with a clean squeegee and drill and its a practice I should get back into.
