AKA Experts: I have a few questions about this AKA cocker

I just picked this up recently and it is my first AKA marker. Can anyone tell me about this marker? The serial number is ML0280. It is drilled.

What model is this?

Is the feed neck pressed or threaded?

Thanks for your time!

Yeah saw that myself on eBay. Wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger at $500 though. Still very nice pick up.
It's a aka Merlin. Pretty nice mill work and anno. The feedneck is threaded.

Thanks! I got for a little less on OBO, but not by too much. I have tried to remove the feed neck with a strap wrench, vise, and heat but no movement.

I am open to ideas!

Someone else might chime in and state that I'm wrong pretty sure they were all threaded but some early ones might have been press fit. Personally I'd keep it as is and just rock it with a old revvy. That's what I do with all mine

Press fit, get a aluminum bar just a hair larger diameter than the feedneck. Heat up the feedneck to allow it to expand, insert the rod, let it cool and try to remove it. Really need a lathe though to get that rod down to right where you need it.

Thanks for the info. I think I will leave it as is. I don't want to mess the thing up, and like you said I could pick up a revy, or I can just keep taping up my rotor's feedneck.
