I just picked up a Tippmann Model 98 from my local pawn shop. It had some accessories that I wanted. After inspecting the gun, I found some things that were weird to me.
I have owned and used many 98's. My first gun was a 98 and I bought it in 1999. I only recently switched to an A-5 (and actually like my 98 Custom Pro better).
This 98 has an aluminum power tube, safety, and end cap. The serial number is 25281. I recall something about a alum power tube. Do those things just make it old and of the original design? Also, it is missing one body screw and the replacement screws I have from my Tippmann parts kits don't fit it...
The finish is in good shape. Very few areas where the finish has bubbled, very few scratches and a couple spots where the paint has chipped off. It also has a vertical adapter and raised site installed.
Is this worth $50-60? Or, does the alum parts make it worth more or less?
