shipping hpa tanks internationally?

Hey gang,

Can you ship HPA tanks internationally? Does anyone here have experience doing so? I'm wondering what's involved with getting that done. USPS web site gives some pretty vague answers.

Also, USPS appears to be the cheapest..any advice on lowering the price, or even packing advice for shipping overseas?

I have very little shipping experience to begin with, so any opinion on what I am getting myself into would be great.

Thanks,
Delamorte

Hpa Tanks

HPA TANKS - I have recieved these as part of paintball pakages from the USA without issue up until 1 mth ago.
I believe they have a rule about being empty for shipping.

As long as it has a DOT stamp if it's coming into the US is should be fine (or a TC if it's entering Canada).

The best option is to remove the reg before shipping.

I know that any shipping of tanks here in/to the Uk is ok, but law stipulates that they have to be empty.

Oh, and we don't use the DOT system, we use BS EN ratings.

Best bet as above - leave the regs out.

I had a Raptor rex shipped to me a couple years ago, no problems... except for the face that it had no TC. It was from the US to Canada.

but it didn't get stopped at the border... no extra charge either.

It was labeled correctly when shipped and it was empty.

hope that helps

You will ahve to remove the "Arm" off that tank to ship it. Make sure you insure it. You may want to go with UPS/DHL/Fed Ex, as they have a better tracking system for overseas/out of country shipments. Once a package leaves U.S., USPS cannot track it anymore.

Unless it's going to Canada, where Canadapost/USPS use the same tracking numbers

Hmm, I think I've been able to track them right up to my doorstep, but I'm not 100% sure on it.

Everytime I sent a package to Canada, they tell me the delivery confirmation number will only get me info to the border. Check into it and see what they say...............

I can guarantee that USPS tracking numbers work all the way to delivery in Canada. In fact, you can go onto canadapost.com, enter the US tracking number and it will give you the info.
