Looks like a crappy CMI barrel with a new tip. They arent all that hot, and that length just makes you waste gas.

Anyone know of a good 18" barrel that's cheap? Not the special ops stiffi stuff that cost nearly $90 bucks?

thanks

Honestly, most barrels are so overbored these days you won't notice the difference, especially on an open bolt gun. If you want a cheap 18" barrel in cocker threads though, I've been very happy with the Opsgear Interceptor. Their cocker threaded version is going very cheap compared to their other offerings.

J&J ceramics are the best bang for the buck barrels IMO. But all that length combined with all that porting will make for quite the gas hog

I just use a 20" Tactical freak tip, since I have Automag, Shocker, and Cocker backs, and since the acceleration happens only during the length of the insert I notice no real difference in gas consumption.
